Chatelaine 3 Bedroom Sells for $141,000 Over the Asking Price

The highest priced home sale of May 2022 in the gated Plaza Del Amo communities of Torrance was a 3 bedroom multi level townhome in the popular gated community of Chatelaine.  The home was listed for $959,000 and closed at an impressive $1,100,000 and only took 6 days to go into escrow.  The home was very clean and well taken care of but was in fairly original condition and only moderately updated over the years.

Over $1.25M for a 2 Bedroom Townhome in Windsong?

This recent listing at 3101 Plaza Del Amo in the Windsong community of Plaza Del Amo just reduced the price from $1,275,000 to an creativeWindsong Torrance $1,258,777 but it’s going to be a challenge based on the most recent sales.  That’s a huge number and no 2 bedroom has ever even sold over $1,000,000.  This two bedroom townhome has been very nicely updated and upgraded but even in this crazy market we just can’t envision it.    It would be thrilling to see this sell anywhere near this price but with the other, albeit smaller, Windsong 2 bedroom on the market at $785,000 and the most recent 2 bedroom selling at $800,000 (same sq footage as #30) it’s going to take one heck of a motivated buyer.  We’ll keep you posted.

April Home Sales in and Around Plaza Del Amo

What a month it was for home sales in the gated communities of Plaza Del Amo in Central Torrance.  There were 19 closed home, townhome and condo sales in and around Plaza Del Amo and central Torrance in April.   The average list price was $859,784 with an average sold price of $922,526 meaning homes sold WAY over asking price in general. The homes that sold were averaged only 11 days on the market before going pending.  The top home sale of the month was a 4 bedroom end unit townhome in the gated community of Chatelaine.

Of the 19 one was in the 55+ Tradewinds building, 1 in Springwood, 3 in Windemere, 3 in Chatelaine, 1 in The Bungalows, 1 in Summerwind.  Take a look below.
